  1. Arjun Ghosh has an ongoing HUSS Grand Challenges project on “Developing OCR for Indian Scripts” with Vision Lab, CSE. This has been judged one among the 50 most impactful research at IIT Delhi in the last 5 years.
  2. Reetika Khera organized a day-long workshop with participants from India and France, “Digitalizing Healthcare: What can India, France, and the UK learn from each other?” on 13 December, 2024. This is part of an IIT Delhi - Sorbonne University project titled “A cross-country exploration of securing electronic health records”.
  3. Naveen Thayyil, Arjun Ghosh and Richa Kumar organized a one-day workshop on “Technology in Society” with University of Queensland in September 2023.
  4. Richa Kumar and Arjun Ghosh submitted a joint research proposal on “Digitally Remapping the Politics of Food” to Antipode’s Right to the Discipline Grants 2025 in collaboration with IIT Delhi Computer Science Department, Oxford Internet Institute, People’s Archive of Rural India and Sangtin Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan.
  5. Richa Kumar and Naveen Thayyil have an ongoing HUSS Grand Challenges Project on “Measuring agrochemical body burden in a select human population, allocating exposure by source, and studying the implications for public health and agrochemical regulation in India” in collaboration with Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology and Civil Engineering Department.
  6. Richa Kumar is supervising a joint PhD candidate – Samyuktha Ramesh – with Preetha Thomas, University of Queensland on “Drivers of Food Environments and Consumption.”
  7. Paroma Sanyal was a co-PI and mentor of Dr. Ishani Guha in a DST-CSRI funded Post Doc project 2022-2024 on “Quantificational ambiguity in flexible word order languages”.
  8. Ankush Agrawal has an ICSSR project on “Ecology, Economy, and Tourism in the Braj Region” to explore technological interventions to reduce ecological damage in collaboration with Centre for Rural Development and Technology (CRDT).
  9. Richa Kumar and Ankush Agrawal completed a Faculty Interdisciplinary Research Project on “Exploring the Linkages between Food Consumption and Malnutrition in Select Agro-ecological Regions of India.” (2017-2019)
  10. Arjun Ghosh has supervised a joint PhD candidate – Tiyana Jovanovic – with Pradip Thomas, University of Queensland on “ICT for change among agricultural communities in India.” Tiyana is the only Australian student under the UQ-IITD joint PhD programme.
  11. Naveen Thayyil and Allison Fish were the recipients of the Global Strategy and Partnerships Seed Funding Scheme of the University of Queensland in 2022 for faculty exchange between IITD and UQ titled "Regulating Biotech".
  12. Naveen Thayyil is a Co-PI in an ongoing SPARC Grant (Government of India) titled "Tackling Society's Grand Challenges: Approaches to Responsible Innovation in Science and Technology and the Indo-Pacific Region" along with Emma Kowal, Deakin University, Aalok Khandekar, IIT Hyderabad, Usha Raman, University of Hyderabad, Sujatha Raman, Australian National University, Grant Otsuki, Tokyo University and Nayantara Sheoran Appleton, Victoria University of Wellington.
  1. Naveen Thayyil, in collaboration with several other Science and Technology Studies (STS) scholars across India universities and higher educational institutions, started the STS India Network in 2023 to promote research and teaching on STS. He is currently the coordinator of the Interim Executive Committee of the pan India academic network.
  2. Arjun Ghosh is President of Digital Humanities Alliance for Research and Teaching Innovations (DHARTI) for 2025-28. He has been a member of the Governing Body of DHARTI since 2018.
  3. Jayan Jose Thomas has been working with the State Planning Board, Government of Kerala as a Member (2016-2021) and research collaborator (since 2021) in framing industrial and employment growth policies for Kerala.
  4. V. Sanil has been conducting workshops for doctors on Medical Humanities (2022-present).
  5. Richa Kumar is core-member of the Network of Rural and Agrarian Studies (since 2010), which is a multidisciplinary network that seeks to encourage research, teaching and policy engagement on rural and agrarian India. See State of Rural and Agrarian India Report 2020 that was co-authored by members of the network.
  6. Naveen Thayyil is a Member of Editorial Boards for “Advancing Methods for Interdisciplinary in the Social Sciences”, Palgrave Macmillan, Australia, 2024-present, Current Sociology monograph series (of the International Sociological Association), 2023-present and Sage studies in International Sociology, 2023-present.
